Hi, That's me holding the Premiership Cup 2007 for the Geelong Football Club,go Cat's, what an Honour,I arrived in Australia in 1967 from England/South Africa, This is the first time I have ever seen my footy Club the Cat's win the Premiership, I have been licensed for over 30+years, previous call signs VK3NFP/VK4NFP/VK3JHE/VK3ACC/M0DVA And now current VK2RO. I have raised 10 children, 9 boys and 1 girl, I have 6 grandchildren, I am currently 58 yrs of age in the year 2009, I am married, my wifes name is Susan,She is a real Darling, and she loves my hobby, it keeps me home, I was born in England,Sutton Coldfield in the Midlands. I lived in South Africa for some time during my younger days, I then returned to England and then travelled out to Australia via the Persian Gulf,Ceylon,Singapore,Darwin at the age of 15 years, prior to that I had travelled most of the world, my Father was a consulting Ship's Engineer which took me everywhere. I now live on a Rural property in Southern New South Wales, approx 700kms S/W of Sydney, we are located on the Newell Highway which takes you to Brisbane from Melbourne.Melbourne is approx 4.0 hrs South of where i live. I have a very comprehensive array of equipment and antennas, I work 2/70 and 1296mhz with my ICOM IC-910H into my 2 egg beater antennas for satellite operation, my 40 Mtr antenna is 3 element monoband beam, driven by a Yaesu FT-1000MP-MK-V Marshall MXL Microphone fed into a Behringer Ultra Voice Pro,Ameritron AL-811A Amplifier, 20mtr set up is as follows,Yaesu FT2000 with a Heil PR40 microphone fed into Alto Mic Pre Amp into a W2IHY EQ & EQ Plus, a Yaesu vl-1000 Quadra Linear Amp approx 400watts into a 6 element Telrex Beam, 10db of forward gain. My Mobile Home set up is Hy Q Antenna 5/80 Vertical and the Yaesu FT-450 Radio With the Heil Dual Microphone fed into a RM BLA300 Amplfier, My 80m set up, Yaesu FT1000MP MKv fed into a Marshall Microphone and Behringer Ultragain MIC200 into the Behringer DEQ2496 Proccessor and the Double Extended Zepp Antenna approx 600+ft of wire. My Mobile set up is the Kenwood TM-D700 and the Icom IC7000 With the HI-Q 6/160 Antenna with a RM Amplifier 400watts power, go mobile its a lot of fun.
