VK3DBD since Oct 1999, Previous calls VK3DER and VK3EIW

First Licensed in 1963, in England, as G3SCD and I have now been a member of the RSGB for 50 years.

My UK call is retained, and activated from time to time. -Most English Summers and  since events (below) have changed my situation, much more time in Ebgland each year now

Always pleased to get e-mails - I always answer - and will arrange skeds on request. QRS if you need to.

I write this with extreme sadness - Ann, my constant companion, for over 48 years, best friend, Moher of our two children, died from Cancer related problems on June 3rd. this year. Our two "children" now both in their 40's were by her side . Just the day before her 70th birthday the medics dropped the bombshell:. It did not seem possible then but in a very short period noticable deterioration set in and things happened vey fast.

The three of us are left with many happy memories of out life over the years, and these are what keep us going in th circumstances. our life will never be the same again We are fortunate to have each other for support, to face such a situation alone would be very stressful indeed. But many folk do.

Mail can be sent to me via Email (preferred) or Snail Mail.

Both QTHR, for G3SCD and VK3DBD - are on QRZ.com

QSL's - Please do not send them unless I ask or unless you really want one from me. I will always reply to your request for a card, but I really do not need to add to my collectiont.

Main radio interests:, CW ragchews on HF 160-10 but have 2m and 6m too Also enjoy construction, building mobile whips and Morse keys, Very fond of Mobile working, all the better from remote places - And better still in 4WD!

Experiments and new ideas always ongoing. I'm always willing to try a sked with anyone who wants a VK QSO, especially CW, no prob with QRS speed Just ask!

Updated Feb  2014,   I will be QRV again from VK3DBD  about Feb 12 onwards and return to England again on May 22

Look forward to working with  the K3 Station again   Hope to hear you on the bands
