Hi, I am Tony VK3TZ. I have been on air since 1980 (novice call VK3VLX). I am a keen dxer and contester primarily on SSB. I have operated from Fiji as 3D2AL, Vanuatu as YJ8TZ, VK9NI (Norfolk Is.) VI5BR (Baudin Rocks OC-228), VK4DFF, VK3DF, portable VK6, VK8 and Phillip Is (OC-136). I have had a couple of top 10 places in CQ WPX SSB TS class, with best effort just over 4.5 million points and have held a few VK band/power records in the CQ DX contests. Best world wide placing in contest is 6th.

See:http://www.rippletech.com.au/Contest%20Results.htm

The station comprises an FT-1000mp and an FL-2100z. A solid state mosfet 600w amplifier is currently in construction  Antennas include a TH6DXX at 15m, a rotary dipole on 30m or 40m (depending on contest) a rotary dipole for warc bands (rippletech) and a tri-sloper array for 80m with a 160m section on one leg (rippletech design). I am keen to work all dxcc with only FJ (St Barts) to go.

UPDATE - The 7O1YGF cards have arrived to confirm 7O on CW and Phone. I also worked the EA boys on 3C0C, and am awaiting the QSL card, which just leaves 1 to go (FJ).

I have 5BDXCC confirmed but yet to apply for the award and have four zones to go for 5BWAZ. I am in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, a city of 3.5million people so 160m is difficult but have 38 worked.

I am a communications engineer and own the "Rippletech Electronics" business in amateur radio products and antennas with over 25 years working on military communications projects including HF Radar, satellite earth stations and sensors. Rippletech makes baluns, trapped dipoles, trapped verticals, FT-1000mp remotes, and other ham radio gear as well as systems engineering.

QSL is OK via the buro or direct with sufficient return postage incl.

73s, Good DX and contesting
