Hello there, I'm located in Hervey Bay, about 300k's north of the VK4 Capital of Brisbane.

I've been licensed since 1993, and enjoy the hobby immensely. I presently run an all Elecraft Station, comprising a K3, KX3, XV144 and two KPA500 Linear Amplifiers.

The main antenna here is an Ultrabeam that I use on 40 Meters through 6 Meters, with a 7 element homebrew yagi for 144 Mhz. I am hoping to eventually place a 3 element yagi on my small tower for 6 Meters, and possibly a 23cm yagi when I hopefully get my 23cm equipment functional.

I enjoy homebrew, and have constructed quite a few tube RF Linear Amplifiers over the years, each one an improvement of the previous, or to try different methods of constuction and circuit design. My latest creation is a single tube ( Eimac 4CX600J ) Amp for 144 Mhz, using a 1/4W slab line. This was a very interesting project, as there is not much in the textbooks about slab line design that I could find.

I am happy to QSL direct, but please include $3USD and a SSAE...via the Bureau is fine as well.I am also presently mid construction in a 4CX1500B Amp for 6 Meters, and a Chinese FU728F Amp for 20 meters ( monoband at this stage, but plan to expand to cover other bands ). I'll add pictures of the two latest Amps in due course

73 from Hervey Bay
