I acquired an unrestricted Australian ham license in August, 2005, while in Hobart, Tasmania. After leaving Hobart, I operated /VK8 from Darwin, NT, and /VK4 from Cairns, Queensland. In October, 2005, the ACMA converted my license to an advanced class ticket.
