Hi. DE VU2DPI, handle Dilip, QTH Sambalpur 21o.28'.356" N 83o.58'.314" E 177 MSL. I am a very active HAM Radio operator. After getting the call sign in 1994 there has been no stopping.

Almost everyday I can be heard on the band. Love the 20 and 10 Mts., love to rag chew on 40 Mts. with friends from Kolkata and S21 land, in the morning on USB 7060 ± QRM. The Yaesu FT 1000 MP Mark V is my favourite Rig. At times use the FT 900 AT and Harris Communication Equipment as well. I use the A4S 4element 3bander Yagi on 21,15 and 10 Mts the A3WS for 12 and 17 Mts and on the other band use the R 7000 vertical and at times use a long wire loop antenna or a dipole.

Beside HAM Radio, I love music- both the Indian and Western classical. I play Mandolin, Violin, Guitar, Banjo, Harmonica, Flute and several other musical instruments with ease.

I do a little bit of Astrology. Perform a bit of Magic. In my spare time I read, and read hell of a lot. I read almost every thing I lay my hands on including a palm. In the early part of my college days, had chosen boxing and wrestling as my pass time. Had won many companionship in Greco-Roman wrestling. Fought up to the National Junior Boxing in 1972. Had tried a bit of weightlifting as well. Won the All India Inter University Championship in 1976 and 1977.

I have been honoured by the Royal Photographic Society of England and many other National and International Photographic Association for my pictorial - landscape and portrait - photography. Recently won the coveted MILK award on photography from New Zeeland. The 10th January 1999 I had a by-pass surgery. I am a Hotelier for my bread and butter. This is in brief about me. Hi Hi. C U some time on the band. 73s.
