I am SHAIKH SADAQATHULLAH. I was born in Kayalpattinam on 23rd July 1970. I studied upto school level. I married Asiya Katheeja on 3rd May 1992. She received her Amateur Radio Licence in 1997. Her call sign is VU3 SDU. I have two children-a girl (Fathima Farooha) and a boy (Shaikh Shamsudeen Mackie).

I became aware of Amateur Radio when I was 21 through a local daily. I received my Amateur Radio licence in 1994. My native place is Kayalpattinam, located in the South East Coast of India ( http://kayalpatnam.com/ ). Now I am settled in the port city of Madras(South East Coast of India) for my Real Estate Business (Property Management).

I have Yaesu FT 840 (HF Base) with Yaesu FC 700 Antenna Tuner, Yaesu FT 2400 H (VHF Base) and Yaesu FT 10R (VHF Handheld). For H.F, I am using Diamond Multi Band vertical (CP-6 )Antenna, Diamond Multi Band Wire Trap Dipole (W-8010) Antenna. For V.H.F, I use Slimjim Antenna. All Antennas are 60ft above the ground level.

I am a MJF Lion belonging to Lions Club of Mylapore(District 324 A-1) and also am a member of Indian Red Cross Society, St.John Ambulance Association, Theosopical Society (Adayar Lodge), Madras Amateur Radio Society, Amateur Radio Society of India (Bombay), Repeater Society of Kodai (Kodaikanal), Bangalore Amateur Radio Club (Bangalore)and National Institute of Amateur Radio(Hyderabad).I started a Amateur Radio Society in my home town(Kayalpattianam), Its called Kayalpattinam Ham Radio Society and the club call sign is VU2 KYP( http://www.qsl.net/vu2kyp/ ).I am the Secretary of the above said society.
