Click for more detail... Licensed originally in 1991 while living in upstate New York, my original call was KB2NSX which I kept for about ten years. After moving around the country with the Navy and finally being able to settle down in Virginia Beach, I decided to change my call through the Vanity program to a “4″ area call. I’m a retired Master Chief Electrician’s Mate and during my 22 years in the Navy I served onboard the USS ARKANSAS (CGN-41), USS CARL VINSON (CVN-70), USS HARRY S. TRUMAN (CVN-75), and the USS ENTERPRISE (CVN-65). I am a member of the ARRL, AMSAT-NA, TAPR, Virginia Beach ARC, and USS Wisconsin ARC. I once operated EchoLink Node 90488 on 146.49 MHz simplex in Virginia Beach however it hasn’t been on the air in a long time. I’m hoping to have it back up one of these days. For QSL’ing I utilize the ARRL incoming and outgoing QSL bureau’s and will send direct via regular mail here in the US. I also submit all contacts via eQSL and Logbook of the World. My preferred operating mode is PSK31 on 20 or 40 meters but I’m also working on my interest in satellite operations.
