"ROUTE 66 ON THE AIR SPECIAL EVENT"
September 10 -18, 2016
Again this year, we'll have clubs from across the country participating in this annual event. Several years ago a handful of clubs got together to "Relive the Ride" of the most famous US highway of all times. Original idea of The Northern Arizona DX Association. the event has become one of the most sought after special event each year where thousands of contacts are made each year from all over the world. This years event will take place from 0001 Z on September 10 to 2359 Z on September 18.
This year we’ll have 21 callsigns, (W6A-W6U) along with a couple rover stations who will be on the air over the 8 day event. Most radio operators try to work all the participating stations on all modes, but with all these stations on the air, please be patient as this does create a little QRM. Each year for their efforts we offer a certificate along with three different color decals and each official participating station will offer their own QSL cards.
