The photo shown is from my recent holiday "Do It Yourself DXpedition" to South Andros Island in the Bahamas where we stayed at the Andros Beach Club beach house. This is a wonderful low-key QTH perfect for relaxing and playing on the radio when not fishing, snorkeling, diving, or just plain relaxing. The beach house is only about 100 yards from the water, and faces due east. Using only my well traveled IC706IIG and a Buddistick antenna I was able to work EU hams with ease, and logged over 100 Q's per hour during openings. QSL requests for my 2009 C6A/W6DXO operation from South Andros Island (NA001) or my 2008 KP2/W6DXO operation from St. John in the USVI should be sent directly to my manager, KF6JOQ. North American Hams need only include an SASE; DX please include an SAE and $1 US or 1 IRC. No Buro please. 73 de Harry, W6DXO Last modified: Sun Mar 8 09:02:54 2009 Does this page contain inappropriate content? If so, Report this page... |
