GREETINGS FROM THE CHIPPEWA NATIONAL FOREST IN MINNESOTA
The town of Marcell is located on the National Scenic Byway HWY 38 in the Chippewa National Forest in Northern Minnesota. Both the town of Marcell and North Star campground are located North of The Laurentian Divide so all the rivers flow north to the Canadian Boarder. This is the 14th season as a Volunteer for the US Forest Service.
The County is Itasca.
The Minnesota Address is my FCC address and is good all year. In the Summer I host the North Star Camp Ground on HWY38 (EN37en). A new trailer was purchased this year a 16 Foot Ice Castle this is an all Season Trailer and will be used in the camp ground and at the Visitor Center the trailer will be located on a small ridge (1451 elevation) overlooking Rainier lake (EN37do). In the winter I work as a Volunteer in the Visitors Center.
The HF setup is a Yaesu FT-950 we work only CW on 80,40 and 15 the antenna for 80,40 is an OCF dipole for 10 and 15 meters I have a cushcraft R4. I work 10 meters and 6 meters both SSB and CW for 6 meters I have a KMA5054 Log.
For 2 Meter weak signal work I have a Kenwood TM-255A feeding A Mirage amp the antenna is also the KMA5054.
I do some FM satellite work with my Kenwood TH-D7G and an Elk Log. My first contact on a satellite was on the 25 of May 2002 on the 1700 UTC pass of UO-14using a FT-847 and M2 Eggbeaters I made contact with AJ9K and K6YK. I have a VUCC with 200 grids and the AMSAT Sexagesimal # 136
I have a DXCC mixed (133) and CW(119)plus a 10 meter mixed (110). A WAS Mixed, CW, and 40 Meters . I am actively chasing the FFMA with 364 Grids. My VUCC count is 400 grids verified on 6. I am an active most contests
I am APRS active using Kenwood TH-D7(G) and a Garmin GPS as W6GMT-5

All contacts are uploaded to LOTW , NO EQSL, QRZ log entries are acknowledged,
Paper QSL cards are exchanged NO SASE is needed.
