Latest installation of six meter array to observe the affects of vertical polorization on DX signals. Nearly 15 dB drop in local powerline noise toward Europe, Africa and Caribbean. Recently observed Q5 copy of Puerto Rico on low gain verical polarity stack shown and could not hear them at all on higher gain horizontal stack due to local powerline noise. If I continue to observe favorable results like these, I will move forward with the 2 X 31 footer side by side stack in a vertical polarity.
Licensed since 1985 starting with the call of KB6IGC.
Active mostly on six meter since May 1990.
50 MHz WAS, WAC, WAZ(25), 89 DXCC, No digital or EME used.
144 MHz 21 states, 3 DXCC, No digital or EME used.
222 MHz 10 states, 2 DXCC, No digital or EME used.
432 MHz 2 states, 1 DXCC, No digital or EME used.
900 MHz 1 state, 1 DXCC, No digital or EME used.
1.2 GHz 1 state, 1DXCC, No digital or EME used.
I have worked EME contacts on 144, 222, and 432 MHz CW mode but I do not count those for the above.
Currently only semi-active on HF w/1500 foot wire loop antenna. Very active on 50 MHz DX w/ multiple arrays.
