Licensed since 1957 at age 14, Technician class. Spent first couple of years on six meters before upgrading to General. On six meters, worked about 40 states and Japan with five watts of AM and a ground plane. Cycle 19 was great!

Now mostly active on RTTY contesting and DXing. Especially enjoy the challenge of 160 meter RTTY. Trying to work all states on that band. Skeds welcome.

My shack is on 2.5 acres of desert about 30 miles north of Palm Springs, California. Nearest neighbor is far, far away. TVI? What TVI? :-)

Rigs: FlexRadio 6300, homebrew 8877 and Alpha 9500 for HF (1500 watts).  Icom IC-7000 for 2m and 70cm.

Antennas: Cushcraft X7 yagi at 80 feet for 20/15/10, full size dipoles at 70 feet for 160/80 and WARC. Ground plane with elevated radials for 40. Cushcraft 5-el yagi at 30 feet for six meters. Yagis for 2m and 70cm.
