Hello - Thanks for stopping by.

I received my Technician license in August of 2009 and was issued the call sign KF5CLN.

In June of 2011 I became a General and changed my call sign to W8MRK the next month.

I passed the Extra in November of 2011.

I love rag chewing using FM on the local VHF/UHF repeaters as well as simplex.

I use both phone and digital on HF and have made contacts on most bands.

I use an Icom IC-9100 with a Carolina Windom 160 and a Diamond X510HDN antennas.

Although I have a Heil Proset Elite Headset/Mic, I normally use a Heil PR-781 boom mic with two

VoiceMaster speakers.

I love this hobby and the interesting people that I get to talk with around the world!

Hope to meet you on the air soon - 73,

Mark - W8MRK

Thanks Randy for the great QSL card design & printing:http://www.kb3ifh.homestead.com

A road sign similar to the one on the front of my QSL card has greeted motorists entering the town of Hondo since 1930. More info here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hondo,_Texas
