I was first licensed as KN9AGF in 1960 - The Novice license then was only good for one year and I was unable to get my General at that time. In 1968 I got my Tech license as WA9ZES, then General, Advanced and finally in 1989 I received my Extra Class. I have lived most of my life in central Indiana except for four years spent in SW Florida. We returned to Indiana in Sept 2001 and find Central Indiana to be a great place to live. In May 2009 I returned to Ham Radio after an absence of almost 20 years. It is good to be back and at present (Aug 2009) I am using borrowed equipment (Ten Tec Omni-C) thanks to my good friend and Brother-in-Law, WB9CIF. I have installed a G5RV which is doing a FB job. Memberships: Life member of both ARRL and QCWA - SKCC #5746 - NAQCC #3840 - FISTS #14605 - FP #2274 - QRP-ARCI #13679 I prefer CW and enjoy a good ragchew. I have an interest in casual contesting and mostly giving others some contacts - I am way past wanting to win anything, I just want to have fun. I have now gotten my feet wet in QRP and have to say I was amazed at how well 5 watts or less will do. 73, Walt Last modified: Fri Aug 21 12:28:13 2009 Does this page contain inappropriate content?
