GREETINGS FROM SANTA MONICA

First licensed in 1965, as WN6QKO, and enjoyed many years of HF rag chewing from Orange County, California. Was temporarily off the air between 1986 and 2009, to raise a family. Recently resurrected my first radio love, a Johnson Viking Ranger I, and paired it with a Collins 75S3-B to operate on good old amplitude modulation.

.

Primary station is a Collins S Line,1960's Hallicrafters TO keyer, and N/S sloping dipoles with feed points at 30 feet on 40 meters. Also now use a Spiderbeam 3 element wire array for 20, 15 and 10 meters at 40 feet --my first rotatable antenna in 48 years of hamming. Busily working toward DXCC, and doing what I can to keep the boyhood hobby alive.

Hope to hear you on the bands soon.

Heathkit SB 200 Update -- amplifier's now up and running again so watch for more signal from the beach!

73, Larry/Barbara (XYL)
