Click for more detail... I have been active in amateur radio and continually licensed since 1951. A legacy Advanced Class Operator. I have the WAS, DXCC and WAC awards in CW, Sideband and RTTY. I am the Communications and Warning Officer for the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management and am the RACES Officer for Florida. My primary interests now are Emergency Communications, Weather, Satellites and computer interfacing. I operate local VHF-FM, HF SSB/Pactor/Amtor/RTTY on emergency nets and am on Echolink. I also have an APRS system running at home and in my car. My HF gear is all legacy equipment and my main station is a full set of Drake 4-lines feeding a G5RV at my home near Monticello, Florida in Jefferson County just north of the Gulf of Mexico.
