Double Peak Station KJ6KGI (old call) over looking the Pacific ocean with my homebrew 22 foot portable mast and J-beam working 2 meter CERT communications drill. Double Peak is also the site of SMARC Field Day and CQP operations. The views are spectacular from here and at 1644' above sea level the operating is Awesome!

2011 CQP on Double Peak San Marcos, CA 1644' ASL. Operators KI6AOK, W6NWF & KJ6KGI (WX7MB)

A special Thanks to KJ6RET for providing power at CERT training drills, FD, CQP and special radio operating events. This amazing solar power source can be adapted to any remote operating scenario providing 13.9 volts DC or 120 volts AC. Check out www.sleepindarkness.com for more information and photos..
