In 2010 I finally got my novice class license just after ordering my first SDR kit "Genesis G59 with GPA10 10W amp". While working on my radio over the next 6 months I studied for and passed both my General and Extra tests. I continue to enjoy buildingand am having loads of fun with phone and digital modes such as JT65, PSK31, and WSPR enjoyable. I am slowly working into CW but it is quite challenging. Since completing my Genesis G59, I have built both a Softrock RX/TX, and a UHFSDR transcievers as well as my first amplifier, the 50W ARRL Homebrew challenge amp from WA2EUJ. I have finished my fourth SDR, the Genesis G11 and it is up and running and freshly in a TenTec enclosure. Here is the completed board (smd components come pre-installed on G11), and my G11 mounted in a TenTec 949 with custom graphics.
