From Basra in the south, the call is YI9CC/5. When operating from Baghdad, the call is YI9CC. QSL to OK1DOT. Amateur radio is now back to normal, with YI9 visitor licenses being issues for a full year. Mostly RTTY and CW modes on the lower bands as wire antennas are all that can be put up and will stay up. I travel to Iraq about every six months and carry my suitcase radio (IC-735) with me when I go.
