Latest news:

19 Nov 2009 - operation report is available for downloading at

http://www.qrz.lt/ly1df/yj0ccc.html

16 Nov 2009 - QSL cards have been printed and are on the way to VK2; expected arrival before the end of Nov.

There is no limitation on the number of cards you can request. Each QSO will be printed on a separate card. If you do need more cards for diplomas etc. - no problem.

12 Nov 2009 - LotW available. Please check whether you have received YJ0CCC LotW confirmation. If not please let me know and I will check a log for any broken calls.

11 Nov 2009 - additional photos added to the photo gallery (see link below)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Its over now. Thanks for the QSOs. For those who did not make it to the log - I will be doing this again when the travel bug bites me again.

It was a 'spare time' style operation between 30 Oct and 5 Nov 09. Main focus was CW operation on 80m/160m. Also operated on the new 5Mhz band (5,403.5Khz USB ).

Antennas included:

160m - Inverted L (16m vertical part) and 44 elevated radials (some over the water at the high tide). At the centre of ANT the radials were at about 2m AGL. 80m and higher bands - verticals (sharing the same ground system).

RX antennas - I have taken 2 beverages with remote switching box.

After the first night had to remove EU beverage as it was picking up the generator noise, could not use it at all. Relocated EU (200m) beverage the other night, but without much success (lack of directivity and quite low signal levels if compared to the vertical). The static was bad but bearable; therefore in RX mode for all the QSOs I used TX antenna. Quite a few EU QRP stations on 80m managed to get to my log, so I reckon I should not be accussed of having no ears or receiving antennas. At this side of the world there is significantly less QRMs and whatever you TX between the static crashes will be heard over hear.

PA - never had one. Was running at full 100w. Instead of carrying a KW PA I usually carry a few more kgs of radials that give exactly the same result. I do agree that adding a PA to already good radial system helps a lot but instead of investing into a PA I usually buy tickects to the next destination to keep more people (and the travel bug) happy. If you are still unhappy about me not using a PA, instead of complaining please feel free to contribute.

Operation photos - you can see some of them here:

QSL - please note ALL common methods are supported. Buro, LotW, Direct is fine. Sri but no eQSL unless you will manage to convince me. Can you please make sure that the IRCs you send do not expire by the end of this year, just in case there would be delay in posting.

I am trying to sort out an Online QSL Request to save your time (cards and money).
