A truly GREEN station

I am based in Krugersdorp, west of Johannesburg, South Africa. (KG33VV) I am running an ICOM IC-7800 for HF and 6m a PW1 1kw amp for "Speacial occasions". I use a Kenwood TS2000 for 2m and 70cm.
Antenna for HF is a 3 element triband, 6m is a Diamond 4 element yagi.

My station is mostly powered by solar panels (400w), the energy is stored in 5 x 100 A/hr 12 volt batteries. Lighting in the shack is provided by 3 LED strips (90 Led's). 220Vac for the rotator is derived from a 1Kw inverter. The IC-7800 and PW1 still neeed grid power.sad

In the winter, when the batteries are fully charged, I dump all the excess solar power into a converted oil heater to warm the shack. I use 12v camping kettle elements to do this.
