Ive been a ham since 1977, first licensed as WD6HFC. Also held N0GQS and N7MFR.

We currently live in an area with heavy restrictions, so the antennas are limited. I have a low profile dual band J-pole at 15' for VHF/UHF, and use a Cushcraft R5 on a tripod at 4ft. for HF. My main listening antenna is the ALA1530S+ loop by Wellbrook. This is an excellent all purpose receive antenna for restricted space.

The core of my station includes the Kenwood TS-2000LE and vintage Drake equipment including a TR-7, Sherwood modified R4C Line, R8A, R8B and 2B. There are other vintage radios about as well, including a beautiful Hammarlund HQ-180A.

You might hear me just about anywhere on any mode. I love to buy and sell all types of radio gear. I most enjoy HF DX, VHF/UHF simplex, and BCB/MW DX listening.

I have a beautiful wife of 29 years, and a fantastic son who I am very proud to say is also a ham, KE7BTG. I also enjoy weight training, muscle cars, vintage stereo equipment, music, pro basketball and college football. GO DUCKS! I enjoy studying theology, scripture, and psychology.
