Click for more detail... CO2OJ, Oscar Morales Gago Born august 16th, 1945. My father, Oscar, was one of the first cuban hams (since 193?). His callsign was CO2OM and was an active DXer until his death in June, 1999. When young, I was busy with many other project so I got to ham radio world a little late. I got my first licence as CM (second category) in 1983 and a year later I got my ticket for CO. I was one of the cuban members of the first Cuba-USA hamradio join operation, the CO0FRC contest station, organized for the 1994 ARRL VHF June QSO Party. After that one, I have participate in all the CO0FRC's station. I was member of the CO1OTA DXpedition as VHF operator, activating for the first ever time the grid EL72, from Jutia Key, in 1995. In 1996 participate in T49C contest station from Punta Corella, FL11. In 1995 I was invited and participated in the CSVHFS Conference, in Colorado Springs. In this moment I am the General Secretary of the Federacion de Radioaficionados de Cuba and the National coordinator of the Cuban VHF Group. I'm Active on all HF bands, mainly in digital modes as PSK31, SSTV, RTTY and MFSK16. Mostly a VHF'er I love 6m and 2m. Have made a little on satellites and a lot of 6m and 2m weak signal operations. I love contesting in all bands and my last happiness were the Plaque for the first place in the DX SO Low Power category in the 2000 ARRL VHF June QSO Party and another Plaque next year for the first place DX HP in the same contest.
