NEWS ALL QSL (for 5196) cards sent out. Campen Lighthouse operation during the international Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend 2011. The event is accomplished by members of the radio club Karlsruhe (A07) in cooperation with the responsible authorities. Each QSO will be confirmed with the DOK A07 (for DOK hunters) and the lighthouse number too. We are QRV from inside the old engine building which is in front of the lighthouse. The lighthouse is the tallest one in Germany at 65 meters height good for 160m. It was built in 1889 and went in traffic 1891. The range of its light is approximately 55 kilometres. There are plenty of lighthouses around the Campen lighthouse. We will be QRV from 10m down to 160m with different types of antennas (see below). The modes are mainly SSB and CW. After big pileups on 30m CW 2010 with the callsign DA2010LH we decided to be on air on 30m CW again on this event. We will reduce our number of radiostations from two down to one station. We try to work more efficiently with one station. That means operation will be provided 24h non stop in change of operator and operation mode. After 4 years of activation of the we will be from this location at this event. We are looking forward to be on air from an other lighthouse during the international lighthouse lightship weekend in one of the upcoming events in the next years. Thanks to all responsibles who helped and supported us to make this event true. The whole team is now 100% complete and ready for rocking on the HF-bands. The operators are DK1CE, DJ2HD, DH3WO, DH2ES and DL4IAZ.
