I am Italian with Italian citizenship, but have been a permanent resident of Germany for a long long time.

I was first licensed as DG9MD in 1998 at the age of thirtynine. In 2006 I changed my callsign into the vanity callsign DL9MD (it sounds better).

I am on the air on VHF/UHF FM from the mobile as well as the home qth to stay in touch with my husband Rene, DL1KAM / W3TP, and with my kids Vanessa, DN2KX, and Marcel, DO9MDX.

If I am on vacation I also work on HF SSB, most from my native country Sicily.
