Mike, VP8DMH/ZD8PRL/M0PRL is now back home and QSL cards should be sent directly to M0PRL.  All payments by PayPal have been transferred to Mike and any outstanding amounts will be honoured of course :)  Many thanks for your patience while I have been trying to keep up with his activities!  please direct all enquiries to M0PRL who is QTHR on here.

Sysop of GB7MBC and HB9DRV-9 DXClusters. Married to Linda G0YLM. Worked for British Telecom for over 33 years as both an engineer and professional sales consultant in the business sector. I took very early retirement in April 2007.

Involved in amateur radio for many years taking the 12wpm morse exam in 1995 to obtain the Full UK licence.

Main interests are construction and QRP, working both SSB and CW mostly on 10w or less. A keen contester with Sands Contest Group (M0SCG/G1T) also working portable/mobile now I have the time. Also a member of Raynet.

Main station consists of an Elecraft K3 (#455). Audio is provided by a Heil Goldline mic and a Heil Proset HC5 headset. Antennas include a closed loop, 150' in length fed by 300 Ohm feeder back to a homemade 4:1 guanella type balun and a W3DZZ trap dipole. I also use a Force 12 C3SS beam and a Create log periodic for VHF. Any mobile work uses the K3 or a Yaesu FT817. A Begali Simplex key is used for CW.

GB7MBC runs under Linux/DXspider and DXcluster internet access is available from the DXcluster website or by direct telnet to gb7mbc.spoo.org port 8000.
