GB2JAM is the JOTA station of the Wirral & District Amateur Radio Club and run on behalf of a number of Scout Groups in Birkenhead and Wirral area.

The Callsign was applied for in 1979 and been used every year since by the Wirral & District ARC. The photo is of our Irby Cricket Club HQ with the Tower to the left of the pavilion and the mast of dipoles to the right. An extensive outfield with no domestic property for some distance assures us of a low noise floor and the opportunity to erect some full size antennas.
