I am, as most of my amateur radio friends and my wife Judy (N0OEL) will tell you, one enthusiastic amateur radio operator! I have been licensed since 1955 and keep heavily involved both on the air as well as in the local amateur community.

I am currently President of the Twin City FM Club, a local all-around club involved with HF, VHF and UHF. It is the largest Club in Minnesota. I am also an Assistant to the ARRLDakota Division Dir and PR Officer for the ARRLMinnesota Section Mgr.

K0BUD isactive on most bands and truly enjoy local net activity as well as keeping in contact with all my amateur friends around the world. I first got into the hobby in High School in a school club. I have never stopped loving the opportunity to meet the people in the hobby at hamfests (I created and ran one for 17 long years) and in other cities. The Dayton Hamvention has been an annual trek for me where I often look forward to meeting the people I talk toon the air.

My station is finally the one that I promised myself to build for years complete with HF Explorer 14 beam at 50 feet and lots of radios (Judy will ask if that many radios is necessary?). I keep schedules weekly, operate lots of contests, DX,and also enjoy ragchewing and round tables. My CW fist is terrible but I have promised myself to do something about that! I belong to several clubs locally in additon to the one I head.

Judy and I have three sons, two grandsons and a daughter in law all of whomare great! I am a retired (2008 before the market went nuts)Financial Advisor/Stockbrokerand before thatI was in the broadcast industry. I am also an avid amateur photographer but amateur radio keeps me away from it just too much!
