My station is very modest; Yaesu FT-1000MP, Alpha 374A amp, Hy-Gain Explorer 14 for 10,15 & 20, Hy-Power 40/80M dipole, 160M is a home brew based on the K6MM helically wound vertical design, and an R7. I am active in the San Diego DX Club www.SDDXC.orgas well as a member of PARC [Palomar Amateur Radio Club.] Two of the most fabulous experiences of my entire life involve amateur radio. First I was part of a YL DXpedition to Montserrat, before the volcano erupted from July 25-30, 1993. Then my students talked to the astronaut on space shuttle STS 70 on July 18, 1995, 15:01:10 UTC. Additionally, I participated in a recent YL DXpedition to PJ2 land from March 18th to 22nd, 2011, where we were the first group of YLs to operate after the political change to the island. My calls while there were: PJ2W, PJ2/NA6YL, PJ2/K6GO. I also participaed in WPX in March 2011 as ZF1A. Outside the contest I was and am ZF2GO. In the United States, I have been licensed as KC6SQC. Then I was KC6YDQ, then Extra Class as, KM6WF, and now and lastly I am K6GO. I will be QRV from July 7-12 on Grand Cayman Island.
During the IARU contest (July 9-10) we'll be an HQ station, under the callsign ZF1A.
