Hi, I guess you are looking at my QRZ page because we had a QSO, probably on CW. I work mostly CW except for the Ratchet Jaw Club in the mornings on 3.934.5 kc at 06:00 CST. I have been a ham off and on for about 30 years. The station is an ICOM 746PRO to an 80 meter dipole up 30 ft. on a pushup pole in an inverted vee configuration. I just got my SW40 working and am enjoying some QRP. You may find me around 7.050 kc on it. I am an ARRL and SKCC (5172T) member. Also am a member of the NAQCC (4512). Both are great CW organizations. We have as of January 2011 started an NAQCC QRS net in Texas. It meets on Monday night at 07:00 CST. It is an informal net to allow slower speed ops to get some practice. If you have a chance, please check in. For the time being, I will be the NCS untill we get some volunteers to spread the fun. We are currently meeting on 7.060kc. We will sometimes be down a little due to QRM. I enjoy riding motorcycles, fishing and ham radio. 100% QSL with no SASE required. Direct only please to the P.O. Box or log it on QRZ. I am on 7.114 kc and around 7.050 kc a lot. I work 8 to 5 Monday thru Friday but am on the radio after work and off and on during the weekends. I have been checking into the Sun Rise Net at 7.123 kc on the weekends at 13:00z. They are in informal CW net that is great for improving you copy up to around 20 wpm. Give it a try even if you don't check in. They meet 7 days a week but I have to work! Just got an OHR 100A for 40 meters and can't wait to see how this kit goes together. I am going to post some notes on the build and maybe some pictures on the Texas NAQCC web site http://www.naqcctx.com/.
