i started my radio training in high shool with intent to get ham ticket, but money and cb ticket came long. then 16yrs in the us army reaching the rank of capt. and about 3yrs driving 18 wheeler around the country. 5 yrs in law enforcement. then finished up with 17yrs in nuclear as a senior security officer.got injured that gave me time to learn the code. did 3.5 yrs overseas, 13months in korea,12months in Viet nam and 18months in Okinawa.My family and I returned to Oakland Ca. were I was discharged from the U.S.Army. From Ca. we made a trip around the US., Mt., S.D., N.Y., Pa., Fl.,Tx. and finally home to Phoenix, Az. That was 1971 and have been here ever since.  while working for Palo Verde Neculer Station in Az. I was hurt and spent many months recuping this gave me some time to get the code down[hearing lost from the War,] so on my way and every year since(3yrs) i upgraded then no code came and I went for my Extra and what do know i passed well u know that.  I have my DXCC. I am a member of several radio clubs in the Phoenix valley , Central Arizona DX Club, West Valley Radio Club, Outlaw Contest Club. to be continued
