Passed my general May-12-2012 /AG :) So if i forget to say /ag I'm noting it here.

About the picture. It is SCA legal full combat armor. The cape and spaulder furs are Halloween decorations. Hood is too obviously. No i do not own any of the armor any more.

Membership in the following groups:

PocatelloARC.org -Pocatello Amateur Radio Club [On hold this year. Ran out of mad money while paying all my other dues]

PortneufARES.org -Portneuf Valley Amateur Radio Emergency Services.

Idahofm.am [State site] - Pocatello's local Masonic lodge [Freemason] Local lodge site coming soon for Portneuf #18. I'm building it and tweeking a couple pages.

Usually i park my HT on 146.82 then I scan about 25 stations on my FT-2800. Both have 100 Hz tones.

I'm under the clump of trees in 2010. Then my house becomes half uncovered with the back shed top center in the 2012 side.

Current equipment:

*J-Pole antenna with a 1.3 match. Built that Sat 17th May 2008 at an antenna building party.

*FT-2800m Loaned out to KF7URZ (sometimes mobile if i'm going out of town).

*Power supply "PYRAMID PHASE III" Precision regulated DC power supply. Model NO. PS-12 13.8v 12 amp.

*Vertech Standard VX-150 HT. (My usual mobile. This was a gift from a local ham AD7UI. THANK YOU!)

* FT-897D/LDG AT-897 Autotuner with ahttp://chameleonantenna.com/ChameleonV1/ChameleonV1.htmlAntenna.

*Laptop running FLdigi for local/E-comm use and longer range will be HRD.

First radio used when i got my call was a borrowed 2 meter HEATHKIT 2036A (10 watt) from KA7MLM. Thanks Elborn!

Don't you hate the bios that sound like dating sites? I like this or that, bla bla bla.

Email=KE7RIP@gmail.com

Do yourself a favor. Go to www.youtube.com Search for K7AGE. Watch his vids. Very informative for hams.

My first radio capable of more then just 2 meters. It has given me a new spark to get my license upgrade. Especially when i'm hearing statins 3001 miles away or in one case from Guam just over 6000 miles. I tune around at night listening. Daytime i'm usually on 10 meters and using my HT to monitor 2m. I also have a 2m mobile FT-2800 above the FT897D on a shelf that i have loaned out to a new ham KF7URZ a buddy of mine from work.

Chameleon V1 antenna. Roof mounted and sealed. I've since removed the mast pole and clamped the antenna directly to the tripod. The wires are radials. Not needed when mounting the antenna mobile. It's good 10m-160m. Just need a tuner.

2 meter J pole. I should move it back to its origonal position on a dish's mounting arm above my door.

This is the origonal configuration. 2M should go back here. I contacted Hawaii with this setup. 3001 miles away. My first non 2 meter contact.

I adhere to the following and ask all others to do so as well.

DX Code of Conduct:

I will listen, and listen, and then listen again before calling. {I add that i'll ask if frequency is in use first.}

I will only call if I can copy the DX station properly.

I will not trust the DX cluster and will be sure of the DX station's call sign before calling.

I will not interfere with the DX station nor anyone calling and will never tune up on the DX frequency or in the QSX slot.

I will wait for the DX station to end a contact before I call.

I will always send my full call sign.

I will call and then listen for a reasonable interval. I will not call continuously.

I will not transmit when the DX operator calls another call sign, not mine.

I will not transmit when the DX operator queries a call sign not like mine.

I will not transmit when the DX station requests geographic areas other than mine.

When the DX operator calls me, I will not repeat my call sign unless I think he has copied it incorrectly.

I will be thankful if and when I do make a contact.

I will respect my fellow hams and conduct myself so as to earn their respect.
