I have been a licensed amateur continuously since September 8, 1961. I am active on HF and 2 meters.

My "modern rig" is an Icom IC-746 which I use along with a Cushcraft R8 vertical antenna.

My "boat anchor" rig is a Johnson Viking Ranger transmitter and a Hammarlund HQ-170 receiver. I use this equipment mainly on 40M CW, but I'm thinking of trying AM. Everyone tells me that Rangers have great audio.
