My station consists of one FT-897, FT-2800M, and an Icom 2Meter. I also have a fulltime APRS station (AGWsoft/UI-View)connected to a FT-2800M. I am using a homemade copper cactus j-pole for my APRS station. I have uhf/vhf/6meter all mode capabilities. I have recently added a fully automatic battery backup. I run two vhf mobiles in both my pov's usually tuned to the local repeater on 147.105+. I am currently the president of the local ham club (W4FHU-www.w4fhu.org). We hold several events each year including annual fox hunt events and ham swap shop. The club is beginning to grow as newer hams from the local university begin to take interest. I spend alot of my time building circuits to fit my ham shack needs and would like to begin experimenting with pic chips! I would like to eventually build a full time weather station using pic chip technology, of course, as time permits. I also enjoy sitting in front of my APRS screen just watching all the different stations pop up.
