I'm 70 kilometers (45 miles) east of Los Angeles. I work in and around the Los Angeles area in construction.  I'm running mostly Kenwood products. 940, 440 and 480 HX, & Kenwood 130V. Yaesu 7800 2 meter, Ameritron AL-80B. Homemade tower for A-4S.  Homemade J-poles for vhf, dipoles for 40 & 80. I also enjoy working as a portable station in our Mojave Desert area. Special thanks and gratitude to my uncle SMOKEY- KN6AE, SK, for leading the way to a very cool hobby since 1994, as well my mentor and DX buddy W6LUC.

The tower/mast is home made @ 35 feet, left over 12Ga. galvinized steel from job site . Yagi is a used Cushcraft A-4s.  Home brewed J-poles for 144 MHZ and 440. In the far back ground center is a 80 meter dipole @ 50 feet, and 40 Meter dipole @ 42 feet.  And 1 of my dogs Ellie, German Sheperd from a battered doggy shelter. She's good now!!
