Weather prediction is 34 Degrees as of Thursday.  I will monitor Parks website for Code RED closures early Saturday and advise here before leaving for Park.  (4 Hours away)

Subject to weather conditions.  Australia is currently in the High Fire danger period.

This is the annual John Moyle Memorial Field Day: http://www.wia.org.au/members/contests/johnmoyle/

0100- 0700 UTC     6 Hour Division.  I will be using 40m & 20m only.

If conditions are OK I may activate 20m for 30 Mins towards end and after Contest. 

This Park is close to home QTH and I will be activating this Park frequently during the year.

Friday March 27 - Monday March 30:   I will be participating in the Annual VK5 Parks Award event.

4 VK5 Parks are intended to be activated across 4 Days.     For information on the VK5 Parks Award:

These 4 Parks will be: Mt. Remarkable VKFF-360  / Vulkathunha-Gammon Ranges VKFF-189 / Flinders Ranges VKFF-176

and Lake Torrens VKFF- 278.

These Parks will be eligible for the VK5 Award ( Operated under Award Rules) and VKFF / WWFF Award

Gundabooka   VKFF-222  (VK2)   Back 'o Bourke region.

Goobang   VKFF-204   (VK2)

Gunbower VKFF-740   (VK3)      Special Prefix activation for ANZAC Day   AX3VTH/P.  This Park is also a new addition to the WWFF program.    

 

 

  VK3VTH is a modest Low Power (100Watt / Battery) station situated in the small village of Dereel 100km West of Melbourne at altitude 350m ASL. Antennas are located on a small property known as "HAM HILL". I enjoy Contesting and DXing. I can also often be heard operating "Portable" in one of the many VK National Parks.
