The Northwest Iowa Amateur Radio Club (NIARC)was formed in 2004 to serve the four county area of Sioux, O'Brien, Lyon and Osceola Counties in Iowa. NIARC meetings are held at the NCC college on the 4th Tuesday of each month, except December, at 7 p.m. in building A, room 118. Members also meet for coffee and breakfast at the local Family Table Restaurant (on business highway 60) each Sat. at 8 a.m. for about an hour, please come and join us. Upcoming Club activities include - June 26-27 NIARC will be operating FD from the highest point in Iowa, Hawkeye Point. July 24 - 25 NIARC will be operating from this museum Railroad Caboose using the club callsign W0VHQ for the Sanborn Iowa Railroad Celebration.
For this special event, we'll be operating on or close to 14.250, 7.225, 28.360, 50.130. For a QSL card, send a SASE to Randy Hogan, KC0ZTR, 601 West 4th St, Sanborn, IA 51248. No need to send a QSL card in to get one back. Also, we'll be monitoring the local repeaters in Sanborn, Iowa 443.900 (110.9 tone) and EchoLink Node 396927 and the Sheldon, Iowa repeater 145.310 (110.9 tone) and EchoLink Node 102345.
