My interest into amateur radio world began 1950's when I was about 10 years old and listening AM fourty meter band with the1941's italian AA5 type family radio CGE model 315 (http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/cge_315.html), beautiful wood receiver, on working condition yet, but very strong . After I listened amateur radio as SWL I1-14748 with 1950's Hallicrafters S107 MK2 receiver. Licensed OM since 1969 with original callsign I1EFO. DXCC Honor Roll award since 1996 (now 338/350 countries). I'm using vintage equipments manifactured in USA from 1945 up to 1962 (the first is a Hallicrafters S-41G receiver (http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/hallicraft_skyrider_jr_s_41g_s41g.html) with external Q-Multiplier(http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/heath_q_multiplier_qf_1_qf.html), later many others Johnson, Hallicrafters, Heathkit, Motorola, WRL), donated by my father's cousin Joseph Focosi (Chicago, 1905 - 1980). All my equipments operating on CW or old "phasing method" SSB generation. I'm using also a 70's transceivers with crystal filter SSB generation, as all tubes Swan 350B and Hallicrafters FPM300, the last Hallicrafters transceiver. First classified Class A/SSB category in "International Vintage Contest 2011 (4° Ed.)
