I recieved my "Amateur Extra" Class Radio Operator license on
01/24/2007, with callsign AI4SY.
02/01/2008 I was granted the vanity callsign of AA4BP.
My previous calls are as follows, beginning April 14, 1992 were: kd5iju, n6wjp,
k7wjp, k4scv, w4amg, w4wjp, and ai4sy.
I got my start in "Ham" radio in Northern California, in association
with two groups. The Sonoma Mountain Repeater Society, Petaluma, Sonoma County,
Northern California, and the World Famous Chicken Net, Guerneville, Russian
River, Sonoma County, Northern California.
My service within the amateur radio community has included the following:
Amateur Radio Relay League-PAST-ALABAMA ARES Dale County, AL., EC.
I have served as a member of US Navy and US Army MARS, in California and
Alabama.
I currently serve as a "Volunteer Examiner" with the ARRL and CaVEc.
I recieved WAC [Worked All Continents] certificate in 2007.
In 2006, I completed all three levels of the ARRL ARECC course, the
certification program for ARRL VE ("Volunteer Examiner"), the
National Weather Service Skywarn Spotter Program, as well at the
"MEMS" Basic (Military Emergency Management Specialist academy
program, along with numerous FEMA/EMIcourses.
Currently if I am on the road I have APRS/GPS tracking, on board: AA4BP-9.
