First licensed in October 1991 as N7UIU as a Technician with HF, then upgraded to Advanced (never was a General), and then to Amateur Extra in February 1992 with a call sign change to AA7OA.

Served as Affiliated Club Coordinator for the Oregon Section, and as an Official Observer for several years. A Volunteer Examiner since upgrading to Amateur Extra, coordinated the VE testing at the SeaPac Northwest ham conventions for several years, as well as for many sessions in the county.

Earned DXCC, WAC, WAS (2 bands). Active in packet radio, HF SSB and CW. Member of the 40 meter Triple-H Net (#544), 10-10 (#62589) and other nets.

Enjoy APRS, contesting, DX. Active as a NOAA Weather Spotter, and maintains 3 weather stations in Clatsop County, Oregon.
