I'm an RF electrical enginner and I work at Motorola HQ in Schaumburg, IL designing 2-way radios for Government and Public Safety. I earned my BSEE from Michigan Tech and my MSEE from the University of Tennessee. I've been licensed as a ham since 1996. I am vice president of a great club with many of friendly faces, the North Shore ARC (ns9rc.org).  I am also a  member of the ARRL, Motorola ARC (K9MOT), Keweenaw County RA (K8MDH), and OMISS (www.omiss.net). OMISS is a worked all states net and my member # is 4948. I am webpage editor for the Copper Country RAA (ccraa.net) and KCRA (kcra-mi.net). I operate an APRS 2m i-Gate and weather station on 144.39 MHz at home and a mobile tracker.

One of my latest projects is helping to build a bridge organization called Chicagoland Skywarn (aa9vi.com/wx). There are many Skywarn and emergency orgs in the Chicago area. This org isn't a replacement for any of them. This bridge organization is simply a way for information (spotter training events, severe weather alerts, and other related discussions, for example) to be communicated between organizations from a shared email reflector.  So, please consider joining and sharing your skills.

You may find me locally on the 442.725+ (PL 114.8) repeater most often.

I enjoy HF operating the most. RTTY and BPSK31 are my favorite modes these days.  Email me to arrange a sked! If you need any QSL cards from when I was in RI (May 2003 - May 2006), no problem, I have extra cards.

Me gusta practicar espanol usando frequencia alta tambien!
