10-10 #73673. I received my Novice License (KN6VKC) at the age of 13. Several
years later, during high school I became a Technician and then Conditional with
the call K6VKC. I enlisted in the US Air Force in 1961 after graduating from
high school. During my military career I was often active in the USAF MARS
program, but did very little with ham radio. Finally, in 1971, I was stationed
in Florida and had the call WB4TCZ and became active on HF. I changed calls to
WB5PTO while stationed in Louisiana and finally retired from the USAF in 1982
in Las Vegas, where I held Extra Class License NK7I. In Jan 2005 I retired from
the FAA after 22 years of being a RADAR/ARTS/STARS Technician at the McCarran
Airport. I moved to Harrison, AR in March 2007, changed my call to AJ5C. I am
active on HF, VHF/UHF, IRLP, WinLink, and APRS. You can see my 24/7 APRS
Weather station at http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/wxpage.cgi?call=aj5c My station
includes an IC756Pro3, IC-PW1, M2 KT-36XA up 38 feet, and a Buckmaster 7-band
Dipole. IC 910-H for Satellite work with M2 Eggbeaters for VHF/UHF. I am
currently a member of the North Arkansas Amateur Radio Society (NAARS).
Currently learning how to work these LEO Satellites (AO-27, A0-50, A0-51).
