Feb 2006 Returned from V2 land after 2 weeks stay, was not a good trip, the
V26B site we hired was great for antennas but not a fit place to stay in, (wont
go to much into this but if anyone is thinking of hiring it you can always ask
me privately). The band condx were good the wx was terrible, 2 weeks nearly
solid rain with a roof that leaked like a sive, not good. Worked 5K qso's but
the CQ160 CW contest was a washout for me no body could hear me for some
reason, so ended up not even putting in an entry for it.
July 2005 Myself and Bruce KI7VR (ex G3NDG) have booked the V26B contest
station for our next dx trip Jan 18th - Feb 01 2006 and will take in the CQ 160
CW contest I have V25G for the my call. Bruce will be V26VR. QSL's are via
Brian G4OOC once again either direct to Brian (see QRZ.com)or via the bureau
FEB 2005 Returned from St Croix after 2 weeks of great fun on the radio, 160
was the band again and worked around 2000 qso's on that band alone and had 2
ZL's in the log on 160 as well which was a nice surprise. The CQ160 CW test was
great (my call was KP2ZZ) and wkd 1090 qso's with 60 countries amd 57 states
and a raw score of 750,000 points. My thanks to Herb KV4FZ for the use of his
station and to Monika his wife for all the cooking and for looking after us so
well. The QSL cards should start to go out middle of March all being well, they
are being printed as normal by UX5UO see www.ux5uoqsl.net who does great (and
cheap) qsl cards.
QSL info is via G4OOC either direct with an addressed envolope and 2 IRC or $2
to cover the postage costs or via the buro. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY QSL'S VIA
HERBS ADDRESS AS THEY WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. ***My KP2 logs are online so please
look at my website for details www.g4rcg.co.uk***
1st Feb 2004 I have returned from the HI9 trip after having a great time on all
the bands, 160m was huge success for us and the Inverted L antenna which we put
up worked just great and gave 100's of stn's their 1st HI on 160m. We will get
the qsl cards printed as soon as possible and get them out as soon as we get
them. There are 4000 qso's logged hope you are one of them.
