I enjoy DX'ing and contesting mostly on SSB. I am currently serving as
President - Mile High DX Association. www.mhdxa.com. We are currently
interested in expanding the membership in our club. If you are newly upgraded
or licensed and are interested in DX and live here on the front range, contact
me about our new mentor program. Other hobbies take me out of doors - fishing,
skiing, and golf. Also a great way to enjoy a good cigar.
First licensed in 1993 as NØWEI. Changed my call to KØCOM in 1997.
New QTH as of January 2008 - NO HOA's and limited covenants will have me back
on the air with permanent antennas. Look for signals from my new QTH to begin
improving in Feb. 08. Update June 08: All band doublet dipole, feed with 450
ohm ladder line for 160 to 10 meters. K1FO beams at 30ft for 6 meters, 2
meters, and 432 mhz. Having a blast again on ham radio!
I use both e-QSL and Log Book of the World. If you are not yet using these
services for QSLing, I highly recommend you get started today!
