(Formerly KB1KFM) After many years of interest in Amateur Radio, I finally bit
the bullet and was issued a General-class license in the Summer of 2003. Now an
Extra-class operator, I enjoy working DX on both SSB and the Digital Modes. I
also occasionally check-in to the 3905 Century Club Network, and am registered
in the CCN Bureaus. I am also current with the ARRL Bureau for International
QSL Card delivery, or LOTW. My Shack is based around an Yaesu FT2000D Rig for
HF work, and a Yeasu FT-897 (primarily for 2-meter work at home and as a
portable rig with a Buddipole). I also have an Ameritron ALS-600 Solid State
600-watt Linear Amplifier with a MFJ-998 Intellituner. HF Antenna is a
Butternet HF-9V Vertical and Buckmaster dipole.
On a personal note, I am married with 3 kids. I am currently employed by
Nortel, and manage a sales team that supports Verizon.
