I have a weather station on APRS. This link will load a webpage with the current weather and weather history at and around my location.  My APRS station consists of an Alinco DT-135 with the embedded TNC.  I use UI-View32, Weather Display software, and a LaCrosse wireless weather station to send weather reports to fellow hams, the National Weather Service, and the world.

You can get an idea about 2 meter VHF propagation at my location by looking here.  The page reports on what my APRS station is receiving on 144.39 MHz with an Arrow Antenna J-Pole mounted at about 25 feet.  It also shows what APRS stations are receiving my 5 watt beacon.  When I am receiving stations over 100km in distance, it usually signifies a tropospheric opening in the Central NJ area.

My HF station consists of a Kenwood TS-2000, an MFJ-998 Intellituner, and wire antennas.  For 80-6 I use an Alpha Delta DX-CC.  This is a physically short antenna on 80m, but it uses coils to make up the length and performs well.  It consists of three wires to form a fan dipole and I QSLd my first 100 countries on 100 watts.  I also have the help of an Ameritron AL-811H when I need it.  A 130' end fed that began life as my SWL/MW DX antenna makes 160m possible.

I write a bi-monthly column for Popular Communications magazine called "RF Bits".  It covers the intersection of computers and radio and I have received some good feedback on subjects covered, such as working the International Space Station via APRS and listening to radio over the internet.  You can take a look at their website here.

If you want to find me on the air, I usually monitor the K2GE repeater when I am in the car and around the house.  In addition to VHF and UHF inputs in Sayreville, NJ, you can connect via Echolink and IRLP.  I also monitor 146.52 MHz and other simplex frequencies and can also be found on D-Star where I use the SSID K2DLS-H.

I am a member of the ARRL, the Raritan Bay Radio Amateurs, the North American Shortwave Assocation, the Longwave Club of America, and the Canadian International DX Club.  I hold Triple Play, WAS and DXCC certificates from the ARRL, as well as a DX Centurion from NASWA for QSLing over 100 SWBC countries.
