Got my call when I was in High School back in early 1950's. Started with KN2TCO
and then got my General why still in High School. I was a radio operator in the
US Navy aboard the USS Purdy DD734 for about 6 years. After the Navy i had my
own 2 meter Repeter with call WR2ANY called the voice of Binghamton, NY We had
both incoming auto patch and outgoing auto patch and many other special
operation on the repeter using DTMF tones.
I was in Navy Mars for many years with Call N0ORF and was training officer for
many years in Northern New York. Today I run RTTY and SSTV using my computer. I
like 75 and 20 meters and love to rag chew. My dad was a ham back in the Spark
days and his call Was K2TEK. He now is a silent key since last year ( 2002 )
