I recently upgraded to Extra and have had the most fun yet as Amateur Operator. I tend to spend my time on 20 meter or 15 meter phone. Wednesday evenings look for me and others from a local club being people (hi-hi) on 21.320 usb. When the band is open please check in, DX or not. I spend quite alot of time on VHF/UHF, monitoring 144.200 usb and 50.125 for openings when I am not checking in w/ one of the other ops using satellite/iss transponders. I try to participate in all the VHF - UHF Contests where I have equipment. Currently 6,2,.73 and .23 meter all modes. I have 400w on 6, 160w on 2, 100w on .73 and so far only 10w on 1.2gig. I have yagis for all mentioned vhf+. ------------ I enjoy basically all modes, cw the least, phone most, but RTTY, Packet, PSK and Domino are fun depending on the day.. Any one looking to make scheduled contacts pls email. ------------- I have a 20/15/10 triband beam on HF (will be on tower soon) and I use an 80 meter dipole for all other HF other then 160 for which I have 500 foot loop in trees. I also use a homebrew vertical on 15/12/10. I use an Ameritron AL-811 amp for HF (600w). I use 2 radios minimum in the shack, one set up for VHF + and the other set up for HF. TS2000X and FT-897. ---------------------- QSL and I 100 percent return a card. EQSL is ok if you have a real card made there. Mail is best.
