I was introduced to the world of Ham radio by my OM (K0DU). While living in
Denver, I didn't have much interest in radio. When we moved to Glade Park
(southwest of Grand Junction, Colorado, at an elevation of 7400 feet) and K0DU
began building a contest station, I began to show an interest in the fast pace
of contesting. Over time, our contesting station has become a 550 sq. ft. ham
shack and what our neighbors affectionatly call "antenna ranch." I
enjoy contesting with my OM and other Hams--for the most part the NAQP contest.
When not contesting, I enjoy ATV 4-wheeling, camping, fishing, metal detecting
and spending time with my family.
